How do I know if a product is right for me?

Sometimes, there is no way to tell for sure unless you try it. Usually, however, you can make an educated guess by examining the product’s label and ingredient list. To increase the chance that products won’t irritate your skin, seek out those that are fragrance-free, contain little or no alcohol, and are labeled “suitable for all types of skin".

How is Manuka Honey produced?

UMF rated Active Manuka Honey is produced by honey bees from the flowers of the manuka bush (leptospermum scoparium) which grows uncultivated throughout New Zealand. Manuka Honey and its Australian cousin leptospermum polygalifolium, which also has a useful antibacterial action, are the only honeys available for purchase which is tested and verified for their antibacterial activity.
Manuka Honey has a low level of viscosity. Often ordinary honeys are extracted from the combe with the assistance of heating. Heat unfortunately has the effect of degrading some of the qualities of honey although with manuka honey the UMF strength is not affected. Nonetheless, such a precious natural resource is normally extracted from the honeycombe with the use of special centrifuge machinery avoiding the need for heating.
Honey combs are loaded into centrifuge machines that spin the contents causing the honey to separate from the waxy comb. This video footage, available on YouTube, shows the extraction techniques. This process retains the natural qualities of the honey.

Do you have products for all types of skin?

Our whole range of Oceanic Gold Manuka Honey Skincare is suitable for all skin types. It is especially effective for skin that is sensitive.The natural extracts used in Oceanic Gold skincare being concentrated and totally free of harsh chemical additives, are very appropriate for all types of skins. Many of our customers have found they are the only products that suit their sensitive skin. We recommend you patch test a small amount on the inside of your wrist for several days before you use it on your face. If you have any redness, itching or irritation it may indicate an allergy and you should discontinue use and seek assistance of a qualified health practitioner.

How Do You Know It Is Only Manuka Flower Honey?

Our Manuka Honey is only collected in areas that are very isolated so no cross contamination of honey is produced. Bees only fly in a radius of approximately 8 to 9 kilometres from their hives, so careful placement of the hives ensures purity.

What are botanical ingredients?

Botanical ingredients are those extracted from plants, including roots, flowers, seeds, fruits and herbs. Many of the Oceanic Gold skincare products contain Australian bush botanicals.

How often should I exfoliate? And should I do it at night or in the morning?

Most exfoliators are designed to use once or twice per week. For more frequent exfoliating, we recommend our Oceanic Gold Crushed Pearls Facial Scrub which is gentle enough to use daily. It doesn’t matter if you exfoliate in the morning or at night, as long as your cleanse your skin first and follow the exfoliation with our moisturiser.

Do you ship internationally?

No! We do not ship internationally. We do ship only within Australia.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We provide same-day dispatch on all orders placed before 10ameach weekday. We use Australia Post e-parcel which takes approximately two to four days to deliver to Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane, a little longer to South Australia and up to seven working days to Western Australia.

Please note same day dispatch does not apply to weekend orders as well as peak sale periods and peak holiday seasons with Australia Post. Orders may be delayed by up to 48 hours during these periods.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched you will receive an email with your tracking number. To track your order, simple enter this number into the Australia Post tracking website. This link is also in your email. 

How do I know if my order has been successful?

You should receive an order confirmation once you have placed and paid for your order. If for any reason the payment didn’t go through, we will send you an email to let you know and give you some easy payment options.

My item arrived faulty/damaged?

For any items that arrive broken or faulty will be replaced if we are notified within 7 days of receipt.

Can I return an item I bought on special?

Items purchased on sale or specials are not able to be returned for a refund or exchange.
